Privacy Policy
ScoreRight LLC (“ScoreRight,” “we,” “us”) operates the ScoreRight LSAT preparation app and website. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information — the email address and password you provide when you create an account.
- Practice data — the questions you attempt, your answers, scores, streaks, goals, bookmarks, and progress, so we can adapt your practice and show your analytics.
- Social features — friends you add and leaderboard participation, if you choose to use them.
- Payment information — when you subscribe, our payment processor (Stripe) collects and processes your card details directly. We do not receive or store your full card number; we retain limited billing information such as your subscription status, plan, trial and renewal dates, and the card brand and last four digits.
- Device & usage data — basic technical information (device type, app version, general activity) used to operate and improve the service.
How we use your information
- To provide adaptive practice, track your progress, and power features like streaks, reminders, and leaderboards.
- To maintain, secure, and improve the service.
- To send account and, if you opt in, study-reminder notifications.
How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only with service providers (“sub-processors”) that help us run the app under contracts that limit their use of it, and when required by law. Our main sub-processors are: Amazon Web Services (hosting, database, and storage), Stripe (payment processing), Anthropic (generating practice questions), and our transactional email provider (for account and billing emails such as password resets and trial reminders). Leaderboard and friend features display limited profile information (such as a display name and score) to other users you connect with or on public leaderboards.
Data retention & security
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then delete or anonymize it. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, though no system is perfectly secure.
Your choices
- You can access, update, or delete your account information from within the app or by contacting us.
- You can turn study reminders on or off at any time.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data.
Children
ScoreRight is intended for prospective law-school applicants and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request access to or deletion of your information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@scoreright.app and we will verify and respond as required by law.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted here with a revised “last updated” date.
